Will you ever write a book of poetry? (I remember reading that you wrote poetry.) Also, would you consider writing a book about being a parent? Elizabeth, My Father, just a few years ago, told us children of his, of a story when he was a young man with Liz. Unbelievible as it sounds it was questionable. Only you could know if it is creditable. Dad didn't tell stories especially of things like this but it pertained to you. He had surgery this week and they will not able to help him . Now for a little about me. I know you get all kinds of mail and so on, but mine "at least to me" is pretty darn important and any help you can or could give me would be VERY much appreciated.

Hello, I wanted to mail you, because You are wonderful.

I am 31, live in Texas sub of Dallas, in Plano Texas. I am totally disabled, Blind/Deaf/Mobility impaired.

I was 28, when my whole world changed. I had just graduated college, and got my first job.

I was diagnosed with Cancer. And the next thing I know I am in surgery and having an Astrocytoma removed from my brain. I wake from surgery and after being in a comma for two weeks following the surgery. I wake to darkness. I lost my Vision and later on lost 85% of my hearing. I was devastated and confused.

Then, I fought back, and had to learn how to cope being blind. I went into a Blind School, learned Braille. And regained some level of existence again. I learned all over how to eat,walk etc. But I did it, I really made great strides. Then I lost my hearing, again I was diagnosed with Cancer, this time it was Liver Cancer I was 30, diagnosed with HeptoCellular Carcinoma. I went through radical Radiation/Chemo, lost all my hair and was again taken back. I have overcome many obstacles in life. And yet, still have a strong will to live. Although I have gained a considerable amount of weight, and became withdrawn from society.I am in a wheelchair a power one, I was so excited when I got it, I thought, now I can become somewhat independent again. Wrong, I was taken advantage of "which happens often to disabled people". I got this chair and it is the wrong chair for my situation. In fact this chair I have is falling apart,with bent axle and flat tires etc. the chair is just less than a year old! I need a new chair but my Medicaid/Medicare is investigating the fraud of this chair I currently have. So I don't know if I am going to get a new one or not. I am very depressed about it. But still I forge onward. What else can I do? nothing.

Well, I know you have alot of more important things to do, so I will bid my farewell to you. I admire you, Just a side note, : ) I turned 32 November 3rd. I am really excited about it, because my Oncologist said I was lucky to still be alive. With all the cancer I have had. So I am very thankful to be here.

I would like to post this message for a friend who does not have access to the internet: We are faced with losing our mobile home and car, due to my first having kidney cancer and now bone cancer. My wife, Frannie, has been blind from birth. I had continued to work even while having radiation and chemo treatments but was let go from my security guard job after a severe pain attack at work. I am 67 years old but my small social security check does not cover the mobile home payment, lot rent and other living expenses. We don’t have any mortgage life insurance protection or any other life insurance. Frannie had been able to earn some money for us during the holidays by playing the keyboard at a local store which has now gone out of business and she hasn’t had any luck getting anyone else to hire her. Dear Miss Taylor I've always thought of you as the gutsiest person I ever saw. My late mother loved you and you would never have thought she would have been such a big fan. When I see you on TV talk shows being so natural it brings back such sweet memories of my mother and her admiration of you. She has been dead 22 years now but you and others of her age keep her alive in my heart. You brought such joy to her unhappy life. She was married to the same man until her death at 51. My father didn't physically kill her but he killed her spirit. She loved the fact you didn't take any shit from your husbands. She was trapped with 5 kids and a drunk for a husband but you could almost see her fantisize when she would read about you in a movie magazine. Mrs. Taylor, I am very much a fan of yours and appreciate what you have done for the raising of funds for Aids. I am very much in a terrible predicament and am asking for your assistance. My brother was diagnosed with Aids two years ago and almost died. He was sent home with meds. and prayer. He lived. Today, because he has been healthy for two years, his Dr. decided that his state assistance was no longer needed and did not approve his Medicaid. My brother went to get his med's and was told that they were going to cost him $1000.00 per month out of pocket. Now my brother is a mess trying to decide if he can let his bills go just to get these meds. He will died or suffer greatly either way. My family is a mess as my other brother who was 33 died two years ago on Oct. 2nd. How can this happen in today's day and age of Aids awareness? Take the med's or died, eat or take the meds? As a great fan of your work and causes, I beg of you your assistance.

Personal letter to Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor

Dear Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor I live in Azerbaijan; it's a part of the former Soviet Union. I have always loved your wonderful talent, your starring in many movies. Besides this, I know you as a fearless woman who got heart blows from your fate but courageously withstood them. I'm sure you'll understand me, the English teacher who has been struggling with cancer for about 3 years. I've read a lot about your sufferings and ways of overcoming them and I have felt in you an intimate soul for me.I underwent two complicated surgeries and 14 courses of very difficult and poignant medical treatments. I've read books by American people who struggled with such cancerous disease. These books helped me to work on myself, to change my spiritual world, to do meditations, relaxation and I do it persistently every day. But all these things (my present day medical treatment and working în myself) don't solve my problem drastically; I can't get a long remission. I know that cancer specialists have developed an absolutely new and effective method of treatment of my disease. This method is used in many countries and gives positive results in very many cases. I got in touch with such Cancer Centre in Russia. They studied my disease description and invited me to do this treatment in their Centre. But the cost of one course of this treatment is much more that I can afford. I have gathered all my savings but I need $10.000 more. I'm an English teacher, I have my own private business and I work at home, simultaneously undergoing chemical treatment of my disease from time to time (it's very difficult but I can stand it). I live with my sister who is an invalid and can't go out of the flat. I don't have any other relatives anywhere and I can't ask anybody for help. In our developing country- Azerbaijan- we don't have charity foundations. My letter to you is my last hope to find help in recovering from my terrible disease. I have been teaching English for many years. My former students work or study in different English speaking countries and their English language is praised in these countries. I work creatively, have a lot of interesting material. I am eager to live and to teach my students many useful things in English that I have. I am very brave and never lose heart. I can bear very difficult sufferings but I want to live. I don't know what will be with my dear sister without me. I was in the USA a few years ago and I've got to know Americans as very kind and compassionate people. Dear Mrs. Taylor, please give me a chance to live and I will pray for you the rest of my life that you will present me. If I am lucky and healthy and able to work, I will try to give you back at least part of this sum of money that you will probably send to me ($ 10.000). I get sick when I hear of peoples property stolen , damaged , and even lives lost from such a preventable problem as car theft. I have looked at many vehicle security devices and there weakness, and endeavored to build a device that is easy to install and also user friendly, and very difficult to remove. I have built prototypes, and have used one on my vehicle for three years even in big cities, and always felt comfortable that my car would always be there where I parked it. I also installed one on an old truck in an auto wreaker and it took three big men 4min. 56 seconds to remove it, only by braking the floorboard because of too ridged a base. This has since been redesigned to be flexible. It was encouraging to see one person could not remove it. It is loose enough installed, that it cannot be cut with a hacksaw, since it is made with good strong steel. The lock cannot be frozen because it is incased with steel and a small air space. These men ! tried with hammers and feet to remove it and only exhausted themselves. Since joy rides and theft of vehicles for the purpose of committing a crime are the main reasons for general auto theft, I know this will be a very good and secure type of vehicle theft deterrent. I have a U.S. patent and applied for an international patent with the help of a company in Ireland, who have done up for me a confidential research report, on North America, and Europe and are at this time trying to find manufactures all around the world that would be interested in building this device that I call "Brake Lock. There is some simple electronics that serve as a trade mark, as well as takes care of the brake light problem. I recently have had interest from England and Illinois and hope to get a positive response from them. Auto theft is a huge problem everywhere. I know it will make a difference. But it will only make a difference if people will use it.
